Beyond the resort, there are seven courses, with some of the most famous Spanish courses within a 20–30-minute drive, including Valderama, La Reserva and Sotogrande, as well as the venue of the 2023 Solheim Cup, Finca Cortesin only 25km away.

Golf

The 18-hole (Par 71, 5903m) The Alto Club (formerly Almenara Golf) is onsite and just on the edge of the resort is the new Alto Club Golf Academy, which is led by former Solheim Cup Captain, Suzann Pettersen, alongside a team of top coaches, centred around the newly enhanced Alcornoques 9 holes.

Besides the onsite golf, golfers are spoilt for choice in the area, with some of Spain’s best course within a short distance. Just 5km away, is La Reserva Club (18 holes, Par 72, 6721m), designed by Cabell B Robinson, the course has hosted professional events such as the Ladies European Tour. Considered one of the best courses in the world, Real Club Valderrama (18 holes, Par 71, 6356m) is only 3km from the hotel, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr in 1974, the club has since hosted renowned professional tournaments including the 1997 Ryder Cup.

Opened in 1964, Real Club de Golf Sotogrande (18 holes, Par 72, 6492m) is the oldest course in the area (7km away), was the first course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr in Europe. Other courses in the area include The San Roque Club, San Roque Golf & Resort and La Hacienda Links Golf Resort with the Links Course and Heathland Course.
