In April 2026 I had the privilege of visiting Costa Navarino again, this time I was escorting and exclusive group of golfers for the first ladies Champions Golf Tour, with Dame Laura Davies, Catriona Matthew OBE and Kathryn Irmie, all Solheim Cup players and golfing legends. The event was a tremendous success and our group shared an unforgettable golfing experience.
During the week our clients had the privilege of spending time on and off the course with our golfing legends. I personally got to play with Catriona and Laura which was truly an experience I won’t forget, to see how the easily they hit the ball, I learnt so much!
It was a full itinerary maximising the time with the Pros, from breakfast to dinner and 18 holes followed by lunch then a coaching clinic, which allowed the group to ask questions and receive one-on-one advice.
Once again Costa Navarino didn’t disappoint, this is truly a world-class golfing resort, we stayed at The Westin Costa Navarino in an Infinity Room with Garden View, which was perfect for a quick dip in the private pool before getting ready for dinner.
We played five rounds; one at The Dunes, two at The Bay and one at The Hills and International Olympic Academy Course (IOAC). All round included buggies with GPS and each course provides its own challenges and views. My favourite was The Bay, only because I had my best round! IOAC provides stunning views of the coastline and Bay of Navarino.
In the evenings we made the most of the Half Board Dine-Around policy and had dinner at Flame, Da Luigi, Armyra at The Romanos, Parelia at the W Costa Navarino. We also had a night off resort and had dinner in the local village of Gialova.
After our 18-holes, our lunches were at Piqantro, Brasserie de la Bay and Flame, all ‘family style’ menus, the food was excellent and let’s just say no one went hungry!
One of the days, instead of playing 18 holes, the group had the opportunity to experience ‘Authentic Village Cooking’ at a local villa overing the bay. Where we had the help of local women who shared family recipes and after preparing the food we then savoured it. In the afternoon we went to Pylos, the nearest town to Costa Navarino and had a guided walking tour around Pylos Castle, which was built in 1573, the views of the Bay of Navarino are wonderful.
All-in-all, the week-long trip was a great success, with everyone leaving having formed new friendships and improved their golf swings!
